Trails
Throughout the Boyer Log Cabin land are trails for walking, hiking, exploring, snowshoeing and cross county skiing. These are mostly wide and level and would be considered relatively easy to navigate. We have not measured the trail system, but would estimate there are about 2-3 miles of combined trails.

Land and Forest
The land at the Boyer Log Cabin is a symmetrical square section of 40 Acres of hardwood forest, Sugar Maple, Beech and Birch. Each side of the property measures 1/4 of a mile or 1 mile in perimeter.
The land is a bit higher than the surrounding land and therefor dryer than most other Door County forest lands, which tend to be wetter. The Wisconsin DNR maps show land out of any wetlands.
Oak Road Nature Preserve
Across the road is the Door County Land Trust - Oak Road Nature Preserve, a 155 acre preserve with almost 2 miles of walking trails.
